The National Directory for Catechesis reminds us that catechesis with young people “Utilizes the life experiences of adolescents, fostering a shared dialogue between the life of the adolescent – with his or her joys, struggles, questions, concerns, and hopes – and the wisdom of the Catholic Church.” (NDC #48D) An in depth look at the faith themes for the Confirmation process and resources to make this important connection possible.

Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (USCCB, 1997) sets the foundation for parish leaders for a comprehensive youth ministry. This is not just an important workshop it is the foundation which powerful youth ministry is built upon.

Mike Norman is the Associate Director for the Office of Religious Education Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Theology from Loyola Marymount University.
